The Office of Hawaiian Affairs' Beneficiary Advocacy and Empowerment Committee traveled to the Kapolei region on Wednesday to hold a meeting hosted by the state Department of Hawaiian Home Lands at its new headquarters, Hale Kalanianaʻole. OHA Trustees, Hawaiian Homes commissioners and staff of both agencies also toured DHHL regional projects and homesteads including Maluʻōhai and Kaupeʻa. OHA Chairwoman Haunani Apoliona holds on to an ʻōʻō presented to the Trustees by DHHL Chairman Micah Kane. Also pictured are OHA Trustees Walter Heen, Colette Machado, Oz Stender, Boyd Mossman and Robert Lindsey, and OHA Administrator Clyde Nāmuʻo, along with Hawaiian Homes Commissioners Donald Chang and Perry Artates; DHHL Deputy Director Kaulana Park, Executive Assistant Robert Hall.
